Microgrid is a small-scale green power supply system for a region or village, centered around distributed energy sources such as solar, wind, and Energy Storage System (ESS), in contrast to the traditional centralized power grid. It reduces transmission and distribution losses, allowing for efficient use of electrical energy and the reduction of greenhouse gases. Additionally, surplus electricity generated from renewable energy can be stored as battery or heat.

Integrating Energy Storage System (ESS) into microgrid solutions enhances energy efficiency by optimizing surplus energy use. Through renewable energy engineering, ESS enables stable power supply by storing excess solar and wind energy, reducing grid dependency. Smart energy management using ESS improves grid resilience, minimizes energy waste, and supports the transition to sustainable energy systems.
